Podcasts and Vodcasts

Technology is always advancing and its role in education continues to evolve. As educators we must stay on top of these advancements and understand the role it can play in our instructional and professional practices. Podcasts and vodcasts are one such tool that can help your instruction. These audio or audio-visual presentations provide a way to share various topics with your students. Beyond content, podcast and vodcasts can be used to spark engagement or a means of previewing or reviewing content.  

In general, students appreciate multiple ways or means of accessing content (Okonski et al., 2022). Podcasts and vodcasts can be accessed on a variety of devices at a time thats works best for learners and can be used to share information with large groups (Kiernan et al., 2023).
